26th May - Tower of London

The Tower of London was an incredible sight to visit - perhaps my favourite. Not only does it hold the Crown Jewels (astonishing how much wealth is held there), but it also reveals the history of the famous held there as prisoners including Queen Anne Boleyn & Guy Fawkes. You could quite easily spend a full day taking in this splendid place. A must see if you're in London.
That evening I went on a Jack the Ripper tour led by one of the Yeoman Warders. Even thought it was raining, we walked the back alleys where the murders took place around Whitechapel in 1888, with an in-depth account of what Jack did to his victims. Ohhh, a bit scary!
