I got out here on my last day in Paris & there was some type of war ceremony happening at the time with a band & decorated soldiers holding flags in remembrance. The details on the monument were beautiful, but it was not as spectacular as I’d expected. There were people everywhere & it was difficult to move around, so maybe this stifled my opportunity for further discovery & appreciation.
